The course consists of five modules, each of which can be studied as individual units. You will learn the following
topics:
Module 1: How to use a multi-meter (to test boiler and system components). This module is essential if you are planning on becoming a competent Breakdown Engineer.
Module 2: System Wiring of an ‘S’ and ‘Y’ plan. This module is essential if you are seeking to further your knowledge on wiring new installs and diagnosing wiring faults as a Breakdown Engineer/Installer.
Module 3: Boilers – Generic Servicing (industry standard). This module is essential if you seeking employment as a Service and Maintenance Engineer – eg with Local Authority Social Housing.
Module 4: Boilers – Generic fault-finding (basic and advanced). This module is essential if you seeking employment as Service/Breakdown Engineer as you will learn how to diagnose and rectify boiler faults (first-time fix).
Module 5: Power flushing – full training on how to connect a power flush machine on open-vent and sealed systems.
